I believe the World Liberty Financial team confirms that this interpretation is the correct one with their wording in the live proposal!
Unfortunately there is a member who keeps creating threads spreading misinformation about what % of pre-sale tokens will become unlocked.
The team has been very clear: the unlock refers to yet-to-be-distributed tokens purchased by Early (Initial) Supporters, which is defined as 30%, and this sale happened before the pre-sale went live. Pre-sale buyers are NOT early supporters. Yes, we “supported” the project with our token purchase pretty early on – but that’s not what is meant in this case. It specifically refers to the people/entities who significantly contributed to the project long before the pre-sale!

100% of pre-sale tokens will become transferable with this vote.
A portion of Early Supporter tokens will unlock and distributed.
In a second vote, the community decides how the remainder of those tokens becomes transferable.
Pre-sale buyers are NOT Early Supporters. They are pre-sale buyers. Early Supporters refers to the entities who bought 30% of tokens PIOR to pre-sale going live. Why do you refuse to understand this?
Futhermore, there were no provisions about vesting when we agreed to the pre-sale terms. On top of that, all our pre-sale tokens are already unlocked and distributed – just not transferable. The only tokens that are locked and not distributed in a multisig wallet are the ones belonging to the Early Supporters (30%) and the Team (2.5%).
Please stop spreading misinformation.

Justin Sun was part of public sale. They purchase the token directly from it. That’s the flaw I can see here.

I feel you on this matter when you try to explain things. To be honest, why do you even bother explaining things? Most people here will just say you are Fudding and spreading misinformation. Or in simple way, you don’t know anything and they know more.
I stopped giving my opinions long time ago. Just sit down, pop a drink and ride the wave. Trust me, you will save some stress out of it.

Your explanation is incorrect. The proposal clearly states that only a portion of the pre-sold tokens will be unlocked. On what basis are you claiming that 100% of the lock-up will be lifted? Don’t make careless statements without even reading the proposal.
to be honest most of us wish we were early backers, most of the 85k holdings bought from the 2 presale rounds including justin sun, aqua 1 came later, binance labs also added 250 million dollars after aqua1.

There is ZERO mention of “only a portion of pre-sold tokens will be unlocked”.
It says a portion of tokens sold to Early Supporters will be unlocked and distributed.
Pre-sale buyers are NOT Early Supporters. Early Supporters are defined in the Gold Paper. They purchased 30% of tokens prior to the pre-sale going live. Their tokens are not yet distributed and locked in a multisig wallet.

This would 100% seem to be the case..
Outside chance that WLFI clarifies governance stating otherwise, but I doubt it - as only making a portion of the tokens that exist already in the “pre-sale” wallets would be a PITA ..

yes agree 100% and the 2nd vote should logically be posted here on July 16th/17th right after the current vote closes on snapshot (in the current proposal it states the 2nd vote will take place as soon as this vote is approved). Not sure what kind of timeline they will be proposing but if they go for as soon as the snapshot vote is voted on then by the end of the month it would be possible to see WLFI being tradable by everyone. Interesting timeline especially with it seems altseason perhaps gearing up.
