They do not reward imposed lock-ups.
Holders who choose to stake for 180 days receive rewards, incentives, and additional benefits.
But those who bought in the presale and have their tokens locked without any unlock date, without visibility, and without clear communication receive absolutely nothing.
Once again, presale buyers are being sidelined.
We have been locked since day one, with no choice, no yield, no compensation, and the team continues to ignore requests for clarification regarding the unlock timeline.
It is difficult to speak about long-term alignment when the earliest supporters of the project are left without answers or consideration.

Definitely in support of this. I like the idea of requiring staking for governance participation. Rather than exempting locked tokens from that requirement, I would argue that instead all locked tokens should be automatically staked.
This is a very smart proposal indeed. As stated, it incentivizes more significant participation in governance, provides additional benefit for USD1 usage and creates structural demand pressure on competing stablecoins. Additionally and importantly, passage of and participation in this staking system by many, especially large holders, will provide price stability, an essential precursor allowing safe unlocking of the remaining 80% of presale tokens for those who do wish to unload some or all of their holdings.
