Is it possible to manipulate the price of these tokens?
On wall street, crooked brokers can manipulate the price of any stock they wish (DJT, RUM, etc). This is done by the illegal practice of naked shorting (Selling stock the broker does not own to drop the price. Then buying it back when the price is low). Can crypto exchanges do this? Is there a way to check?
Oh yes, these markets are very manipulable. Every time you see every major crypto take a bloodbath at the exact same time, you are witnessing it in real time. It doesn’t have to be exchanges, any whale can see where the liquidation avalanches are hiding and exploit them. It is the reason leveraged trading is such a crazy risk in crypto, the market movements are not organic.
Takes a monster position to move prices much. Who knows what goes on, especially in unregulated markets. Until regulation we act on high trust. Even unregulated the price for deception can be extremely high. Especially on markets of this scale. I wouldnt worry too much. Watch whats real. Whats real right now are the regulatory issues, bank input and etc. This is extremely important right now.
