G’Day WLFI community - so… this morning I noticed that both Polkadot:JS and Talisman are denying access to WLFI website when they are active… It is listed by them as a “Malicious Phishing Website” and I had to deactivate both in order to access the site and not be redirected…
I have not yet checked on RUST DEV forums or discord but this does, for me, raise some questions…
- Why would RUST based wallets and sites list WLFI as a malicious phishing site?
- Has the WLFI code been checked/audited for any possible issues by an independent auditor?
- Being ETH based then we all know that the ETH source code is public domain… is the WLFI code also public domain to allow scrutiny by DEVs and other interested parties to dispel this rumour in the DOT/RUST community?
Obviously even rumours of WLFI being linked to phishing could be damaging to the token, the community, and to longer term developments associated with WLFI, which is potentially concerning.
I am suggesting (not proposing at this stage) that some steps should be taken to limit any long term potential damage to the credibility of WLFI…
1 That WLFI DEVS and team investigate the source and credibility of other platforms blacklisting WLFI and remedial steps be taken to restore credibility within the RUST community, and
2 That if the code for WLFI is not at present open source that it be made so in order for any interested/concerned parties to be able to check the code and ensure that the “blacklisting” does not have any substance and is removed from the 3rd parties who have initiated this….
Also - could it possibly have anything to do with the locking of Justin Suns wallet and be a malicious response from him to this action being taken?
Thank you all in advance for any replies…
