I understand what you are saying but this is maybe more complicated than it seems. how does the wlfi team know you didn’t just move the tokens and then claim they were stolen? serious question, imagine it from their position, and there are hundreds maybe even thousands of people across all social media saying this.

Your analogy is not really right as well. The Ethereum block chain is not a bank nor is wlfi, and a wallet on the blockchain is not an account, its literally a wallet in your pocket. If you loose it or its stolen, or you hand your wallet to someone and they take money out(7702 exploit) the bank can’t do anything about it. These are bitter pills to anyone who has ever lost funds(me included), but this is how crypto works.

And to the extent that WLFI was doing KYC, I do agree with you, they have complicated the issue for themselves by introducing this step.
There was vaugely documented in the claim process that everyone was going through a 2nd KYC but I was not asked for a single piece of proof I was me, most people weren’t, a very few people here complained that they were getting denied and then it just worked for no apparent reason.

many people reported emailing to the support emails but zero people ever said they got a single reply email, meaning that was probably also some automation.

Actually WLFI Team they know what to Do, they have to do it for everyone autho otherwise they will be very busy doing manually, for example they can launch the exchange app and doing during the process… as when we bought the token in their website

its already over though, virtually every wallet that was in presale has claimed at this point, its over, its impossible to retroactively ā€œdo it for everyoneā€ the horse is out of barn now, no putting it back.

Its doubtful you will get any relief I am afraid for all reasons above, short of a court order going to wlfi to act they aren’t going to be able to fix it. I wish you luck though.

On the topic of your proposal directly it doesn’t really protect you at all, it just gives a compromised wallet a way to directly move the funds.

If you lost control of your wallet, the first 20% is definitely lost, you aren’t getting it back through anything short of law enforcement which is never going to happen.

Your proposal should be of the form that WLFI offers a portal for anyone with a compromised wallet to submit there wallet address and KYC info to have the remaining 80% locked and subject to some other mechanism to claim which includes and active redo of KYC which will require human check, it can’t be automated.
