Hello everyone!
— Hello everyone! First of all, I would like to thank the WLFI team for managing the project and the listing process so well. I hope this process has been beneficial for everyone.
Now, I will get straight to the point.
At this link, a community member shared a problem — and I realized I am facing the exact same situation. With this post, I would like to bring the matter to the WLFI team’s attention and kindly ask for their support.
On October 10, 2024 (ironically, on the night of my birthday), my MetaMask wallet was hacked while I was asleep. This was the wallet I had used to join the WLFI whitelist, and therefore I was forced to use it to participate in the presale.
To clarify:
-
My MetaMask was only connected as a Chrome browser extension.
-
I never approved any suspicious transactions, nor did I connect my wallet to any untrusted websites.
-
Yet, all of my assets — except for the locked WLFI tokens — were stolen by the hacker.
-
I also reported this theft to Uniswap and MetaMask authorities with documented proof, but unfortunately they did not provide any solution or assistance.
Moreover, Uniswap suggested a company that could supposedly help recover my wallet. I contacted them, but I was defrauded by them as well. This situation was extremely tragicomic, highlighting the risk of social engineering scams in addition to technical hacks.
For about a month after this incident, I went through a very difficult time, as all of my savings had been drained. When the vesting started, I managed to transfer only 20% of my WLFI tokens to a new wallet, but it was a stressful race against the hacker. Even sending ETH for gas fees felt dangerous, since it could have been stolen instantly as well.
Currently, 80% of my WLFI tokens are still stuck in the compromised wallet. I am extremely worried that once they unlock, the hacker might immediately transfer them away.
Since the project’s announcement, we early supporters have actively participated in this forum, and our votes and evaluations add value to the community. Therefore, I kindly ask the community members in this forum to support and highlight this topic, so that it gets the attention of the WLFI team. This is an issue that anyone could face at any time, and it is truly a sad and stressful situation.
I am kindly requesting the WLFI team’s support to find a safe way for me to transfer my remaining WLFI tokens to a secure wallet before it’s too late.
This situation is highly distressing, and I believe I am not the only one in the community who may face this type of risk. I would be deeply grateful for any official guidance or technical assistance you can provide.
If requested, I am ready to provide the WLFI team with all necessary information and evidence.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
